⬛ INTRODUCTION
I believe that every maxillofacial prosthodontist agrees: Professor John Beumer III is the most famous grandmaster in this field. His textbook, “Maxillofacial Rehabilitation: Prosthodontic and Surgical Management of Cancer-Related, Acquired, and Congenital Defects of the Head and Neck”, is one of must read classics. Prof. Beumer kept leading the team of UCLA maxillofacial Prosthetics (MFP) for more than 45 years and his clinical experience and researches are enormous. He also established “Foundation for Oral-facial Rehabilitation“ (FFOFR) for international maxillofacial prosthodontic education. I was lucky to learn from Prof. Beumer in UCLA from 2008 to 2009. Everything he taught me is still very useful now. And in last year I was honored to invite his team to Taipei for lecture & workshop in this September. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 pandemic, Prof. Beumer and UCLA team are not able to come. However, Prof. Beumer accepted our invitation to give us online lectures. The three topics cover the most difficult parts in maxillofacial rehabilitation and modern technologies. I am sure that you will get many benefits from these lectures.
